Adrénergique les bronchodilatateurs peuvent stimuler la circulation sanguine bêta - 1 et bêta - 2 récepteurs, entraînant des effets indésirables tels que la tachycardie, des palpitations, une vasodilatation périphérique, changements de la pression artérielle, et des modifications de l'ECG (par exemple, l'aplatissement de l'onde T; allongement de l'intervalle QT; la dépression du segment ST). Stimulation directe de tissus cardiaques est médiée par les récepteurs bêta - 1 et donc moins susceptibles de se produire avec des bêta-2-agents sélectifs tels que albuterol.
